LEXINGTON, KY — Morning Pointe of Lexington residents teamed up with the UK Wildcats for a cause, making cookies for local first responders at Station No. 15 as part of a community service project.
Acts of kindness are nothing new to these seniors. Their compassionate gestures inspired a year-long campaign, as Morning Pointe residents, associates and volunteers in Lexington and across the Southeast seek to give back 20,000 hours of community service in 2017.
“Our seniors still enjoy doing for others, and that motivates each of us to do more for our community,” says Rena Fisher, life enrichment director at Morning Pointe. “We hope that everyone could embrace the opportunity to serve others as many of our residents continue to do.”
