Residents and staff of Morning Pointe of Tullahoma (TN) wore orange Friday, July 1, in honor of former University of Tennessee at Knoxville women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt.
Summitt suffered from early onset Alzheimer’s and passed away earlier that week. Morning Pointe wanted to bring awareness to the disease that afflicted the iconic coach.
Morning Pointe of Tullahoma memory care community, called The Lantern, currently is home to 14 residents who suffer not only from Alzheimer’s but other memory-related conditions.
