Nearly 20 residents, family members and associates at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Collegedale, enjoyed a ride on a 112-year-old steam locomotive at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

As part of the Meaningful Day program, the memory care residents enjoy outings to local attractions that are rich with history and community pride.

Museum associates Grant Harriss, conductor, Brian Hunt, engineer, and Travis Gordon, fireman, accommodated the residents and guests, sharing stories about the Tennessee Railroad.
