Morning Pointe of Lenoir City (TN) residents originally were scheduled to visit Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding (STAR), but the excessive heat made it impossible. So STAR came to the assisted living residents, bringing two miniature horses and a donkey from the Minis in Motion program to the community for everyone to pet, hug and love on.
As part of the Life Enrichment Program, Morning Pointe invites furry and four-legged friends to the community, allowing residents to embrace the benefits of pet therapy.
“We just love these animals,” says Eloise Smith, Morning Pointe resident. “Having them come inside to us is even better.”
