Community Invited to the Lantern at Morning Pointe of Danville Chili Cook Off at Senior Living Campus

Danville, Ky. — February 24, 2026 — The Lantern at Morning Pointe Danville, part of the full-service Morning Pointe Senior Living campus, will host a Chili Cook Off on Friday, March 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., inviting local cooks and community members to turn up the heat for an afternoon of friendly competition and flavorful fun.

Ten competition spots are available, and participation is free. Those interested in competing are encouraged to call 859-965-1008 to reserve a spot. Each chili entry must have a creative name, adding an extra dash of personality to the event.

Awards will be presented to the top three competitors. First place will receive a trophy and a $50 value prize basket. Second place will receive a trophy and a $35 value prize basket. Third place will receive a trophy and a $20 value prize basket.

Community members are invited to attend, sample the entries, and cast their votes for $6 per person.

The Chili Cook Off will take place at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Danville, located at 1375 Perryville Rd in Danville. The event is open to the public and offers an opportunity for residents, families, and neighbors to gather, enjoy great food, and connect with the team at The Lantern.

The Lantern at Morning Pointe Danville is a memory care community dedicated to serving individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and is part of the larger Morning Pointe Senior Living campus offering assisted living and memory care services.
