Love, Laughter, and 24-Hour Rules: A Marriage That Still Endures

After 67 years together, one couple reflects on commitment, care, and connection

Hardin Valley — February 13, 2026 — After 67 years of marriage, Pat and Frank’s story is rooted in simple beginnings, shared humor, and a commitment to caring for one another through every season of life.

The couple, who share three children and “a bunch of grandchildren,” met thanks to a chance introduction. Pat recalls, “I worked for an attorney, and Frank worked in his own business, and my attorney introduced me to Fran,k and then we went on a date, and the rest is history now.

When asked what she loves most about her husband, Pat didn’t hesitate. “He just takes care of me so well. And he’s, he’s just so sweet… I love him.

Through the ups and downs of life, one rule has guided their marriage. “To not stay mad at each other more than 24 hours,” Frank said. “Even though it’s not easy.

Pat quickly added her own insight with a smile: “And kissing, and kissing.

After more than six decades together, Pat and Frank’s story is a reminder that lasting love isn’t about avoiding challenges—it’s about meeting them side by side.

Pat and Frank reside at Morning Pointe Senior Living, where their bond continues to inspire residents, families, and associates alike.
