Sweet Treats, Shared Purpose: Community Bake Sale to Support Healthcare Scholarships

LEXINGTON, Ky. — February 24, 2026— An afternoon of homemade desserts, laughter, and giving back is planned at Morning Pointe of Lexington-East during the upcoming Luck of the Irish Bake Sale.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 12, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 150 Shoreside Drive and is open to the public.

Guests can enjoy a variety of homemade baked goods, participate in a lively cake walk, and spend time connecting with residents, families, and community members. Local Girl Scouts will also be joining in the festivities, adding to the spirit of the celebration.

More than just a seasonal gathering, the bake sale serves a meaningful purpose. All proceeds will benefit the Morning Pointe Foundation, which provides scholarships in nursing, clinical therapy, culinary arts, and social work, along with broader caregiver education initiatives that enhance the lives of seniors.

The Foundation partners with local institutions, including Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, and Kentucky State University in Frankfort, to support students pursuing these fields of study.

Events like this reflect the heart of the Lexington-East community by creating opportunities to gather, build relationships, and make a positive impact beyond the walls of the building.

Community members are encouraged to come hungry, bring a friend, and be part of an afternoon that blends fun with purpose.
