Cultural arts judges Gretchen Culp and Juanita Sabattus observe quilts at the 2019 Eastern Region Fall Family and Community Engagement Conference at the Rothchild Event Center in Knoxville. Presented by the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension, the theme of the conference was the power of women to shape the future. An experienced quilter and Morning Pointe of Lenoir City (TN) assisted living community resident, Sabattus was invited to judge the cultural arts entries. “It was so rewarding to see Juanita use her passions to give back to the community,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Camie Entrekin. “The conference organizers were so impressed that they actually asked us to participate again next year!”
