At the new Morning Pointe of Franklin, Chef Candace Cox will soon be able to embrace her culinary expertise using ingredients not far from the assisted living community’s kitchen. Basil, cilantro, onion and oregano will all be at her fingertips, courtesy of the resident-curated community garden.
As a part of the Life Enrichment Program, residents and staff at the assisted living community embrace nature and fresh food through the joy of gardening.
The gardening group has grown in popularity, thanks to raised flower beds that allow residents to plant, water and maintain their herbs with ease.
Herbs from the garden will be featured in Morning Pointe of Franklin’s summer menu dishes.
