Skyuka Hall Students Share the Halloween Spirit with Morning Pointe
During the Halloween season, most kids go door-to-door expecting to receive a treat. However, 10 students from Skyuka Hall flipped the script when they arrived at Morning Pointe of Hixson (TN) with treats of their own to share. Over the past two years, Skyuka Hall has forged a strong friendship with the senior living community, and according to Christine Rivers, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Hixson, the residents always look forward to visits from the Skyuka students.
“The kids were so sweet and brought candy to hand out to the residents,” Rivers says. “One of the residents made this comment to a student: ‘Usually, it’s the other way around. I should be passing out the candy to you, but this is more fun!’”
