Morning Pointe of Danville (KY) resident Josh Douglas and Ishante Mays, a leader from Sunrise Children’s Home, work together to fill bags for the personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s Lighting of the Luminaries ceremony honoring those who are living with and who have passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. Each month, young men from Sunrise Children’s Home visit Morning Pointe to assist the residents with a service project. “We are so grateful for our partnership with Sunrise Children’s Home,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Nicole Walton. “Residents like Josh really enjoy being able to mentor the boys in some small way, and the boys love spending time with the residents.”
