Morning Pointe of Calhoun (GA) volunteer Sue Van Buren and residents Patricia Glasser and Sue Moyer congratulate Van Buren’s therapy dog Carl on his 400th pet therapy visit, which qualifies him for the title of AKC Therapy Dog Distinguished (THDD), the highest honor that the American Kennel Club can confer on a therapy dog. Carl and Van Buren celebrated this incredible milestone with the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s residents and associates. “It was a special occasion for a very special volunteer!” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Kesia Cox. “Our residents always look forward to Carl’s visits. He is loved by many!”
