TUSCALOOSA, ALA. — Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa welcomed Chris Roberts, professor of journalism at the University of Alabama, to give a presentation about staying connected through new technology, in honor of National Assisted Living Week.
The week’s theme, “Keep Connected” encourages seniors to embrace new ways of staying in touch with family and friends. The residents were fascinated by Dr. Robert’s discussion about the origins on the Internet, and how it has transformed how we obtain news and information.
As part of the Life Enrichment Program, the assisted living community celebrates a number of annual observances aimed to promote active and engaged lifestyles for seniors.
