BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Vanderbilt University professors Stephen Miahky, violinist, and Craig Nies, pianist, performed an evening concert for the residents at Morning Pointe of Brentwood.

The residents were treated to selections by Beethoven and Schubert.

Miahky, Joseph Hoachim is a professor of violin at Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music and the first violinist of the Blair String Quartet.

Craig Nies is an associate professor of piano at the Blair School of Music, and is celebrating his 25th year on the faculty.

As part of the Life Enrichment Program, the assisted living and memory care community welcomes musicians from all genres to perform for the residents, offering the seniors the many benefits of music therapy.
