Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa (AL) volunteer Cortney Patton and resident Alma Hankins share a hug after 90 minutes of sing-along fun. Patton is a regular volunteer in the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s The Lantern memory care wing. “This is the first time Mrs. Alma has participated in a sing-along. It brought so much joy to my heart to see her singing and smiling!” exclaims Morning Pointe Lantern program director Lashonda Simmons. “And Cortney loves volunteering at Morning Pointe so much that her uncle will soon be joining us as a resident. We are so grateful to have her here!”
