ATHENS, Tenn. — March 31, 2026— More than 150 women gathered on Saturday, March 28, for the 3rd Annual Women’s Conference, “God Is in This Story,” held at Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. Hosted by Morning Pointe of Athens, the event brought together women from across the community for a powerful afternoon of encouragement, honesty, and connection while raising nearly $3,500 to support scholarships through the Morning Pointe Foundation.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense of warmth and openness that carried throughout the day. Worship was led by Amber Cook, Worship Leader and Family Nurse Practitioner at Silver Ridge Baptist Church, creating a meaningful start to the program. Kristy Stafford, Director of Nursing at Morning Pointe of Athens, shared a message that resonated with attendees, while Crystal Sutton, Executive Director, welcomed guests and helped set the tone for the afternoon.
“God is in every chapter of our lives, even the ones we don’t fully understand at the time,” said Crystal Sutton, Executive Director at Morning Pointe of Athens. “To see so many women come together, share encouragement, and support one another was incredibly meaningful. What makes it even more special is knowing this event will continue to make a difference through the scholarships it supports.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships through the Morning Pointe Foundation, supporting students pursuing careers in nursing, physical therapy, social work, and culinary arts. The Foundation also provides caregiver education opportunities for families and communities.
The Foundation partners with several colleges and universities across the Tennessee Valley to provide scholarship opportunities, including Cleveland State Community College, Chattanooga State Community College, Southern Adventist University, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, TCAT Athens, TCAT Chattanooga, and Tennessee Wesleyan University.
The event reflected a shared sense of purpose and connection, with many attendees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to gather, reflect, and be encouraged.
