Sept. 14 event gives businesses and community members an opportunity to invest in the future of senior care
LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. (August 20, 2026) — With the Morning Pointe Foundation’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament just weeks away, community businesses, healthcare partners and supporters are being invited to join an event that puts a different kind of investment at the center of the day: investing in the healthcare professionals many who will care for seniors for years to come.
The tournament will take place Monday, Sept. 14, at Lookout Mountain Club, bringing together teams and community leaders for a day of golf, networking and fellowship. But the impact of the event extends well beyond the course.
Proceeds from the tournament support scholarships for students preparing for careers in nursing, social work, therapy, and culinary arts through the Morning Pointe Foundation’s educational partnerships. The Foundation also provides free caregiver education programs for families and professional caregivers.
Last year’s tournament raised nearly $90,000 to support these efforts.
“For us, this event is really about what happens after the tournament is over,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “The funds raised help students pursue careers where they will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors and families. That’s why community support is so important. We’re not simply raising money for a program; we’re investing in people and in the future of senior care.”
The Foundation partners with local educational institutions, including the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Chattanooga State Community College, Southern Adventist University, Tennessee Wesleyan University, Dalton State, Cleveland State Community College and the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology in Athens and Chattanooga.
Those partnerships allow community support from events like the golf tournament to reach students close to home while helping strengthen the pipeline of healthcare professionals many who are entering senior care.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the businesses and community members who continue to show up for this event,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “Every team, sponsorship and contribution helps us continue providing opportunities for students and resources for caregivers. When people come together for this tournament, they are helping make a difference in the lives of seniors and caregivers throughout our community.”
The tournament will include breakfast, golf, networking opportunities, contests, prizes and a luncheon and awards presentation.

- 1:00 p.m. – Luncheon and Awards Banquet
