National titleholder brings her passion for the arts to celebrate one of
the Southeast’s premier senior talent competitions
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 20, 2026) – One of the country’s most
recognizable ambassadors for the arts is headed to Chattanooga.
Miss America 2026 Cassie Donegan will make a special appearance at
Morning Pointe’s 7th Annual Seniors Got Talent on Thursday, July 30, at
6:30 p.m. at the Silverdale Center Creekside Theater, 7236 Bonny Oaks
Drive, Chattanooga, Tenn., on the Silverdale Baptist Academy campus.
Guests should enter by the sports field. Donegan will join contestants,
families and supporters for a celebration of talent, creativity and the
remarkable accomplishments of older adults from across the Tennessee
Valley and North Georgia.
As Miss America, Donegan has traveled the nation advocating for
the transformative power of the arts through her platform, “Creativity
Changes Lives.” Now, she’ll bring that message to Morning Pointe
Seniors Got Talent, a competition that celebrates the idea that creativity
doesn’t end with age, but continues to inspire, connect and enrich lives
for decades.

Perez said Donegan’s message about the power of creativity perfectly
reflects the spirit of Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent and the
performers who take the stage each year.

Now in its seventh year, Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent has grown
into one of the Foundation’s signature events, giving adults age 60
and older the opportunity to perform before a live audience after
advancing through auditions held across the Tennessee Valley and North
Georgia. Contestants showcase everything from vocal performances
and instrumental music to dance, comedy and other unique talents,
competing for cash prizes while inspiring audiences with performances
that prove talent has no expiration date.
Donegan’s appearance adds another memorable chapter to this
year’s competition. Throughout her year as Miss America, she has
championed arts education, sharing how music and performance
shaped her own life and advocating for greater access to creative
opportunities for future generations.
“There’s something incredibly powerful about watching someone step
onto a stage and share a talent they’ve carried with them for a lifetime,”
Perez said. “Our contestants remind us every year that it’s never too late
to pursue a passion, inspire others or experience the joy of performing.

Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent will be held July 30 at 6:30 p.m. at
Silverdale Center Creekside Theater in Chattanooga. Tickets are $10.
In addition to celebrating local talent, this event serves as a fundraiser
for the Morning Pointe Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated
to advancing senior care through scholarships, caregiver support
programs, and educational partnerships. Funds raised help support
students pursuing careers in nursing and other healthcare professions
while strengthening resources available to seniors and their families.
