Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent brings 13 local performers together Oct. 6 for a night celebrating talent, passion and the people behind the performances
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (September 29, 2026) — The stage is set, the performers are preparing and in just one week, 13 Middle Tennessee seniors will step into the spotlight at the Franklin Theatre.
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m., the 2026 Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Finals will bring performers from communities including Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill and Columbia together for an evening of music, laughter and unexpected performances.
The lineup spans a wide range of talent, including various genres of singing, opera, ventriloquism, instrument performances and a 1960s-style music group. But what audiences will see on stage is only part of what makes the evening special.
These are local adults ages 60 and older who are willing to put themselves out there, share something they love and perform in front of a live audience. Some have spent years developing their talents, while others are taking on the challenge of performing in a new way.
“Every finalist has something different to bring to the stage, and that is what makes this event so much fun,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “They have worked hard, they are excited to perform and they are ready to share their talents with the community. We hope people will come out to support them, enjoy the show and see for themselves what happens when older adults are given the opportunity to take center stage.”
More Than a Talent Show
Seniors Got Talent is a celebration of what older adults continue to bring to their families and communities.
The performers are not simply competing for a title. They are sharing interests and passions that are an important part of who they are, while showing younger generations that there is no age limit on creativity, performance or pursuing something you love.
For families and friends attending the show, it is also an opportunity to see someone they know in a completely different setting. And for the broader community, it is a chance to meet and celebrate some of the talented people who call Middle Tennessee home.
An Evening That Supports the Future of Care
Presented by the Morning Pointe Foundation in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living, Seniors Got Talent also supports the Foundation’s work to strengthen senior services.
The Foundation provides scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing, culinary arts, therapy and social work and offers free caregiver education programs for families and caregivers.
In Middle Tennessee, Foundation partners include Columbia State Community College, Lipscomb University, TCAT Dickson–Williamson County and Motlow State Community College, helping students prepare for careers across healthcare and senior care.
So while the Franklin Theatre will be filled with music, laughter and applause on Oct. 6, the impact of the evening reaches beyond the stage, helping support students and families throughout the region.
Tickets are still available, and the community is invited to join the finalists at the Franklin Theatre for an evening celebrating local talent and the people behind it.
