Construction Reaches 50% at The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Happy Valley – Memory Care

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (October 21, 2025) — Construction has reached the halfway point at The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Happy Valley – Memory Care, marking another major milestone in expanding specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care across North Georgia.

Located at 2937 Happy Valley Road in Walker County, the new Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence is designed to offer two distinct levels of memory care: Lamplight, for individuals in the early to moderate stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia, and Lantern, for those in the more advanced stages. Each program will provide personalized support in a secure, nurturing environment that promotes dignity, connection, and daily engagement.

A hallmark of Morning Pointe’s approach is its Meaningful Day™ Program, developed specifically for The Lantern memory care communities. Rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule, the program focuses on individualized, purposeful days. Morning Pointe associates take time to learn each resident’s life story — including their past careers, family roles, routines, and interests — to create daily experiences that reflect who they are. By honoring those details, residents find comfort in familiar activities and a greater sense of purpose and belonging.

“We are thrilled to see this new community taking shape,” said Morning Pointe co-founder Greg Vital. “Reaching the 50% construction mark is an exciting step toward welcoming families into a thoughtfully designed environment where specialized care meets compassion and innovation.”

Expected to open in early 2026, The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Happy Valley will feature spacious living areas, secure outdoor courtyards, and a team of caregivers specially trained in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. The community reflects Morning Pointe Senior Living’s 25-year commitment to providing exceptional care and meaningful experiences for seniors and their families across the Southeast.

Morning Pointe is now taking apartment reservations for the new Lantern community. To learn more or reserve a spot, call (706) 567-4111.
