29 teams came together to support the Foundation’s work across the Tennessee Valley
LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. (September 15, 2026) — The Morning Pointe Foundation’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament brought 29 teams together at Lookout Mountain Club Monday, raising more than $94,000 to help students pursue healthcare careers and provide education and resources for caregivers across the region.
The annual tournament brought businesses, healthcare professionals and community supporters together for a day of golf while raising funds for the Morning Pointe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living. Through its educational partnerships, the Morning Pointe Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in nursing, social work, therapy, culinary arts and other senior care-related professions. The Foundation also offers free caregiver education programs designed to give families and professional caregivers practical information and resources as they care for older adults.
“One of the exciting things about the annual Mastering Memory Care Golf Tournament here in Chattanooga is all of our banks and supporters from across the country come to Chattanooga, enjoy the beauty of the Tennessee Valley and enjoy Lookout Mountain Club, while also supporting scholarships across the Tennessee Board of Regents programs, UTC and Southern Adventist University,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “I just want to thank everybody for their continued support of Morning Pointe Senior Living, the sponsors and the players. It’s a great day to enjoy golf and raise funds for scholarships.”
Funds raised through the tournament support students through educational partnerships with colleges and universities throughout the region, including:
- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
- Chattanooga State Community College
- Southern Adventist University
- Dalton State
- Cleveland State Community College
- Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Athens
- Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Chattanooga
Dr. John Squires, vice president of Academic Affairs at Cleveland State Community College, highlighted the Foundation’s impact on colleges and students throughout the region.
“There is no one in this region that does more for our colleges than Greg Vital and Franklin Farrow,” Squires said. “They provide scholarships to multiple colleges in the region and are huge supporters of all of our health programs. I can’t tell you the impact that they have had on our students’ lives.”
Squires also pointed to the Foundation’s support of Cleveland State Community College, including contributions that have helped strengthen its healthcare education facilities and equipment.
“We had a student here a couple of years ago and she talked about her struggles just to even make it and go to college. That’s the sort of impact that these funds are making,” Squires said.
The One to One Health team took first place in this year’s tournament, with team members Brandon Allan, Miller Wick, Tim Eachus and Paul Dickenson taking home the trophy. Wick said the team enjoys supporting Morning Pointe and its work in the community.
“We love coming out to support Morning Pointe. We do a lot of work with them, and we love what they do in the community,” Wick said. “It’s nice to win, but it’s better just to come out and support Morning Pointe. We love what they do. It’s a great community, it’s great people, and we’re thankful for the event and everyone who put it on.”

Additional tournament winners included:
- First Place: One to One Health — Brandon Allan, Miller Wick, Tim Eachus and Paul Dickenson

First Horizon and Greystone served as the tournament’s presenting sponsors. Their support, along with the participation of golfers and sponsors from across the region, helped make this year’s tournament a record-breaking event for the Foundation.
“We are incredibly grateful to every golfer, sponsor and community partner who came together for this year’s tournament,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “Their support helps us continue investing in students pursuing healthcare careers and providing education and resources to caregivers. We are proud to see that support making a difference throughout the Tennessee Valley.”
The Morning Pointe Foundation also extends its appreciation to Lookout Mountain Club for once again welcoming the tournament and providing the setting for the annual event.
