Pickleball for a Purpose Returns Oct. 25 — Aiming to Fund Scholarships Across the Southeast

Morning Pointe Foundation Tournament to Benefit Nursing, Therapy, and Culinary Students, Including Georgia’s Dalton State

CALHOUN, Ga. (October 7, 2025) — The countdown is nearly over, and excitement is building for the 2nd Annual Morning Pointe Foundation Pickleball for a Purpose Scholarship Showdown, coming up Saturday, October 25, at Pickleball 706 in Calhoun — North Georgia’s premier indoor pickleball facility.

Hosted in partnership with Morning Pointe of Calhoun Assisted Living and Memory Care, the tournament combines friendly competition and community spirit to raise funds for scholarships in nursing, therapy, and culinary programs across five Southeastern states — including Dalton State College right here in Georgia.

“This event is all about turning a fun day on the court into life-changing opportunities for students who will one day make a difference in their chosen fields,” said Miranda Perez, Executive Director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “Every serve, every rally, and every point scored helps support the next generation of healthcare and hospitality professionals.”

With eight climate-controlled courts, a full-service pro shop, and divisions for all skill levels, Pickleball 706 offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable day of play, prizes, and philanthropy. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just picking up a paddle for the first time, there’s a place for everyone in this community-driven event.
