From Hymns to Hallmark: A Life Well Loved

West Virginia is where her story begins—a childhood shared with siblings Della and George, a life later rooted in marriage to Charles, and the joy of raising three children: Mike, Mary, and David. Faith has always been her compass.

Sundays find her singing the hymns she loves, and weekdays often end with dirt under her nails from tending flowers and vegetables. What grows in the garden often finds its way to the stove, where she cooks with the same care she brings to conversation and friendship.

Her favorite moments are quiet and cozy: word searches and jigsaw puzzles, a Hallmark movie humming in the background, music drifting through the room. There are daily walks, wagging dogs, and spirited cheers for the Kentucky Wildcats—ideally with an icy Sprite in hand and plans for Mexican food later.

Here at Morning Pointe Senior Living in Frankfort, her warmth, gratitude, and love for family brighten every corner of our community.
