With Morning Pointe Foundation’s 5th Annual Seniors Got Talent, Lexington variety show coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 17, the names of the 12 performers have been released.
The show will take place on at 7 p.m. at The Franklin Theatre.
The show is produced in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living, although the contestants are from the greater Nashville community. This year, the contestants are all from outside Morning Pointe communities.
Performers are:
- Brenda Gibson, Dolly Parton tribute artist
- Judy Street, singer
- Edie Farm, pianist
- Jack Wise, pianist
- Barry Cardinael, singer and pianist
- Mike Kanski, guitarist and singer
- Belinda French, flag baton twirler
- Nick Chambers, singer
- Jesse Lancaster, guitarist and singer
- Ron Bailey, singer and musician
- Brett McCreary, singer
- Dak Alley, singer
Participants range in age from 62-90. Only one act will take home the grand prize of $500. Second- and third-place winners will also receive awards, and show attendees will be able to vote for their favorite act at $1 per vote for the People’s Choice Award, with funds going to the Morning Pointe Foundation.
“We are less than a month away from our show, and there is so much great energy and enthusiasm!” said Miranda Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation Executive Director. “We have strong acts that I think will both entertain and inspire.”
Lisa Spencer, chief meteorologist at News4 WSMV, is returning for the fourth time as master of ceremonies. Judges will include Rich Eckhardt, one of the most well-known guitarists in Nashville; Alex Tinker IV, Open Mic Night emcee at Leiper’s Fork’s on “Fox and Locke”; Jim Hagaman, mayor of Spring Hill who has been involved in musical performance and theater; and Mackenzie Wasner, up-and-coming country music artist.
Tickets are available for $10 plus a small theatre fee at The Franklin Theatre website and at MorningPointeFoundation.com.
Proceeds go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by Tennessee-based senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. The 501(c)3 nonprofit public service organization was created in 2014 to provide caregiver support programs, sponsor educational awareness events, and fund clinical scholarships to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.

Morning Pointe’s Seniors Got Talent is building on a 14-year tradition that began at Morning Pointe of Hixson, Tennessee. Morning Pointe also sponsors Seniors Got Talent competitions in Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee, and Lexington, Kentucky.
