On Dec. 6, Morning Pointe Senior Living presented its 2023 Foundation Award to the Morning Pointe of Frankfort campus.

The Foundation Award is presented to the community that was most engaged with the Morning Pointe Foundation and its work throughout the year. The Morning Pointe Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide clinical scholarships and caregiver support. It is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living.

Morning Pointe of Frankfort Senior Living, as well as its adjacent The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence achieved this award among the company’s 38 communities in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Both communities were highly involved in fundraising for the Foundation, as well as supporting its Seniors Got Talent showcase in Lexington and growing partnerships with local community colleges. In Kentucky, these include Eastern Kentucky University and Bluegrass Community and Technical College,

Lisa Keller, executive director at Morning Pointe of Frankfort, and Amber Stansberry, executive director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Frankfort, accepted the award on behalf of the campus.

“We take great pride in playing a role in the community and helping others further their careers, said Stansberry. “This Foundation shows how Morning Pointe exceeds in not only caring for residents, but also caring for the lives of others outside the company.”

Keller added: “The Foundation plays a vital role in enhancing people’s lives and provides opportunities to assist people in furthering their education. The Foundation is a key component in providing programs and training for staff and families regarding Alzheimer’s/dementia. Knowing that our campus was able to support the Foundation is yet again another way we are committed to changing lives.”

“Our Morning Pointe Foundation does such important work in providing support and education to caregivers, especially through scholarships, and this year has surpassed previous years in fundraising and growing partnerships with local schools,” said Greg A. Vital, president and co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “The team at the Morning Pointe of Frankfort campus has been a big part of that, and we thank them for their passion for the mission of the Foundation.”

Founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living owns and operates 38 assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states.
