On Thursday, May 2, four Caregiver Café panelists will answer frequently asked questions during the Morning Pointe Foundation’s free discussion, “How to Make Tough Decisions for Your Aging Loved One.”

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Shoreline Church, located at 9635 Westland Drive, Knoxville, TN 37922. Guests should park in the upper parking lot and enter at the main entrance. Family members of aging loved ones are invited to join the discussion of top questions in areas of financial planning, Medicaid and Medicare, veterans benefits and geriatric care.

Questions answered during the event include, “What are the legal documents that everyone should have?”, “What are the different parts of Medicare (Part A, B, C, D, supplement)?”, “What are the first signs of dementia,” and, “What information do I need when I file for VA benefits?”

“So many senior issues have a legal aspect, and they have a financial aspect, and they can have a benefits aspect, and of course they’ve got a medical aspect and a caregiver aspect,” said Glen Kyle, one of the panelists. “Being able to have everybody together where they can get a lot of that perspective all at one time on how different individuals can be on your team to help you through a lot of these processes can be very helpful.”
