Local performers prepare to take the stage for a night celebrating talent, creativity and the passions that don’t retire
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (September 18, 2026) — In just three weeks, the Franklin Theatre will become a stage for some of Middle Tennessee’s most entertaining older adults.
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m., the 2026 Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Finals will bring 13 finalists from across Middle Tennessee to Franklin for an evening of music, comedy, performance and plenty of personality.
Presented by the Morning Pointe Foundation in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living, the event gives adults ages 60 and older an opportunity to step into the spotlight and share talents they have spent years developing or discovered along the way.
From Franklin and Brentwood to Spring Hill, Columbia and surrounding communities, this year’s finalists are bringing a wide range of talent to the stage, including various genres of singing, opera, ventriloquism, ukulele and other instrument performances, as well as a 1960s-style music group.
But the evening is about more than finding a winner.
Seniors Got Talent offers the community a chance to see local older adults in a different light — not simply as residents, retirees or grandparents, but as performers, artists, musicians and people who are still pursuing the things they love.
“Every year, we are reminded that talent and creativity don’t have an expiration date,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “These performers have something they want to share with their community, and Seniors Got Talent gives them the opportunity to step onto a beautiful stage and do exactly that. We hope Middle Tennessee will come out, fill the Franklin Theatre and cheer them on.”
A Night That Gives Back
While the performers take center stage, the event also supports the future of senior care.
Proceeds from Seniors Got Talent benefit the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing care and strengthening senior services. The Foundation provides scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing, culinary arts, therapy and social work and offers free caregiver education programs for families and caregivers.
In Middle Tennessee, Foundation partners include Columbia State Community College, Lipscomb University, TCAT Dickson–Williamson County and Motlow State Community College, helping prepare students for careers across healthcare and senior care that will serve communities throughout the region.
For audiences, that means a night spent cheering on local talent also helps support students preparing for the future of healthcare and senior care.
Tickets are currently available for the Oct. 6 performance, and the community is invited to spend an evening at the Franklin Theatre supporting local seniors and the causes that matter to them.
