RICHMOND, Ky. (September 9, 2026) — For 30 years, Morning Pointe of Richmond has been part of the lives of local seniors and families, providing care, connection and opportunities for residents to remain engaged with the community around them. This September, the community will celebrate that milestone with a special “30 Years Around the Sun Luau.”
The celebration will take place from 1–3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Morning Pointe of Richmond, 1400 Gibson Bay Drive. The event is free and open to the public and will feature live music, refreshments, games, giveaways and a bounce house.
The celebration will close out National Assisted Living Week and bring together residents, families, team members, friends and community members to recognize three decades of service in Richmond.
For Morning Pointe, reaching 30 years in one community represents much more than a business milestone. It reflects the trust families have placed in the community over the years and the relationships that have grown between residents, team members and neighbors.
Morning Pointe of Richmond has also remained committed to creating opportunities for seniors to stay connected to the people, organizations and activities that make Richmond home. From community events and local partnerships to opportunities for residents to welcome visitors and participate in activities outside the community, those connections remain an important part of the Morning Pointe experience.
“When we look at 30 years in Richmond, what stands out most is the opportunity to have been part of so many families’ lives,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “A milestone like this is really a reflection of the trust our residents and their families have placed in us. We are grateful for the relationships that have been built over the years, and we remain committed to being a good neighbor and an active part of the Richmond community for many years to come.”
That commitment to community involvement is an important part of Morning Pointe’s vision for the future. As Morning Pointe of Richmond celebrates its history, the team also looks forward to continuing to build relationships throughout Richmond and creating opportunities for residents to remain connected to the community they call home.
“Thirty years of serving seniors in Richmond is something worth celebrating, and we are incredibly grateful for every resident, family and community member who has been part of our journey,” said Cristy Winkler, executive director of Morning Pointe of Richmond. “Our community is stronger because of the relationships we have built with the people around us, and we want to continue being involved, welcoming our neighbors through our doors and finding new ways for our residents to stay connected to Richmond.”
The “30 Years Around the Sun Luau” will offer an opportunity for the community to celebrate that history together while looking ahead to the future. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of music, food and activities alongside Morning Pointe residents and team members.
“We want this celebration to feel like a true community celebration,” Winkler said. “Everyone who has walked through our doors, supported our residents, partnered with us or simply been a neighbor has helped make these 30 years special. We are excited to celebrate with Richmond and continue building on that connection.”
Community members are invited to attend the “30 Years Around the Sun Luau” and help Morning Pointe of Richmond mark three decades of serving local seniors.
