Morning Pointe Senior Living Celebrates Nurses Week 2024

Nurses Week 2024 slide

Where would we be as a senior living company without our nurses? Our registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) are essential to the care of our residents in all of Morning Pointe Senior Living’s communities, from assisted living and personal care to memory care.

During Nurses Week, May 6-12, we say a special thank you to each nurse, from our directors of nursing (DONs) and regional nurse leaders to our floor nurses providing medication and daily care.

In tribute, check out our latest Couch Conversation featuring Kahlalishia Williams, RN, DON at Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and one of her residents, Barbara English, 83.

“We know that we’re going to be taken care of, and Kahlalishia has great nurses to help us, and we appreciate all of it,” said Barbara. “Kahlalishia just greets me every morning, and she’s so happy, and she comes and checks on me, and she checks on the other residents, and she just personally is special to me.”

Kahlalishia has worked at Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa for three years. She has been a certified nursing assistant, LPN and RN before taking on this leadership role. She shared that her job is more than just a job. “When I leave one family [in the morning], I feel like I come to another family,” she said.

Thank you to Kahlalishia and to all our nurses across our Morning Pointe Senior Living family. You give so much to take care of our residents, and we, our residents, and their families are all grateful!
