Morning Pointe Senior Living congratulates graduating associates

graduates collage

May is graduation season, and among the high school and college graduates around the country are several associates at Morning Pointe Senior Living communities.

For some, Morning Pointe has been a stepping stone along their career journey, while others are staying with us post-graduation. Regardless, we are thankful they chose Morning Pointe to gain hands-on experience as they have pursued their education.

Meet a few of our 2023 graduates!

Amy graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work on May 5 from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She already has a new job lined up as an Admissions Resident Care Coordinator in Chattanooga.

“Morning Pointe really increased my passion for working with older adults,” said Amy. “Being able to work with the residents and get to know them really gave me that push to continue working with the older populations. It really helped with my interpersonal skills. My team was incredibly helpful and encouraging.”

Karen Mee – Resident Assistant at Morning Pointe of Lenoir City, TN

Karen worked at Morning Pointe of Lenoir City Assisted Living from 2020-2023. It was working as an RA that made her want to go back to school and become a Nurse. She graduated from nursing school at Roane State Community College on May 5 with her RN degree!

“I came to Morning Pointe in May 2020 when the pandemic was still at its height,” said Karen. “I always said I never wanted to be a nurse, but through working with the residents and caring for them in a time when they needed support because they could not see their families, I fell in love with patient care. My favorite part of nursing is helping people when they need help the most and getting to see them get better.”

Karen has already landed an RN job at the local hospital.

“Thank you, Karen for your constant love and attention you give our residents,” said Katielynn Johnson, Life Enrichment Director. “We are so proud of you, and we know you will make a fantastic Nurse!”
