Golfers and sponsors can still join the July 29 event supporting scholarships and caregiver education
ATHENS, Tenn. July 27, 2026 — There is still time for golfers, businesses and community members to be part of a day that makes a lasting impact. The Morning Pointe Foundation is making a final call for participants to register for its Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 29, at Springbrook Golf & Country Club in Athens.
The annual event brings together the community to raise funds for the Morning Pointe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living. Tournament proceeds support scholarships for future healthcare professionals pursuing careers in nursing, culinary arts, social work and therapy, while also funding free caregiver education programs that help families care for aging loved ones.
Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament concludes with a luncheon and awards banquet at 1 p.m.
“As our senior population continues to grow, so does the need for compassionate, well-trained healthcare professionals,” said Greg A. Vital, co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “Every golfer, sponsor and volunteer who joins us is investing in the future of senior care while helping families access valuable educational resources today.”
Golfers of all skill levels are welcome, and local businesses and organizations still have opportunities to participate through sponsorships and team registrations.
“The support we receive from communities like Athens makes our mission possible,” said Miranda Perez, executive director of the Morning Pointe Foundation. “Every registration and sponsorship helps provide scholarships for students who are preparing to serve older adults and allows us to continue offering caregiver education programs that empower families throughout the Southeast. We look forward to welcoming the community for a great day on the course and an even greater cause.”
Founded in 2014 by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow, the Morning Pointe Foundation is dedicated to advancing senior care through education. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization awards scholarships through school partners across the Southeast and provides free caregiver education programs that equip families with practical tools and resources as they navigate the aging journey.
Community members interested in participating are encouraged to register before tournament day. Whether by golfing, sponsoring or volunteering, every participant helps strengthen the future of senior care while supporting students who will become tomorrow’s healthcare professionals.
