Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley Nearing Completion, Names Executive Director

Morning Pointe staff member Ben Stiefel

Ben Stiefel has been named the Executive Director for Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley, an assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community under construction at 2449 Reagan Road just off Pellissippi Parkway in west Knoxville. Nearing completion, this sprawling new senior living campus is set to open in January 2022. Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley will be Morning Pointe’s seventh building in the greater East Tennessee area, complementing locations in Knoxville, Lenoir City, Powell, and Clinton, and the thirty-sixth Morning Pointe Senior Living community overall. Founded in 1996 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living operates assisted living, personal care, and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states.

Stiefel comes to Morning Pointe with over 14 years in senior healthcare, most recently from The Waters of Clinton where he was an Administrator. “I have a deeply-rooted desire to serve the seniors of my community. I find fulfillment in providing them with a comfortable and safe environment where they feel loved and valued, as well as having an active and engaged community,” said Stiefel. He is a past recipient of the Bronze Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award and the President’s Award at Life Care Centers of America.

The initial phase of the 20-acre campus will feature a single-story assisted living and memory care community with 77 spacious apartments, including a secure wing specially designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory care needs. Morning Pointe’s patented Meaningful Day™ purposeful programming features a strong focus on clinical care with physical and occupational therapies, life enrichment and wellness offerings, including the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care™ and Best Friends Approach™. Farm-to-Table fresh dining and intergenerational activities help residents live their best.

Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley will ultimately create 250 permanent healthcare positions with a positive economic impact of more than $30 million annually, considering payroll, property taxes, and local purchase of goods and services. Morning Pointe has had a presence in the East Tennessee area for over 21 years.

“The Executive Director of any Morning Pointe building is the cornerstone of our commitment to excellent care, and we are thrilled that Ben will lead the opening of this brand new Morning Pointe community in Hardin Valley,” said Greg A. Vital, president and co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “As we expand our footprint in the East Tennessee area, we look forward to providing the highest level of senior care for generations to come.”
