The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Russell (KY) residents Dianna Lynch and Ellen Rice (front row) and business office manager Jessica Cox, executive director Cheryl Stephens, Lantern program director Britni Canfield, and community relations director Tammy Muffley (back row) show their support for women with heart disease by wearing red on National Wear Red Day. The special day was created by the American Heart Association as part of a campaign to raise awareness around the number one killer of women: heart disease and stroke. On this day, millions of people around the country wear red and host events to encourage heart-healthy choices, celebrate the survivors of heart disease, and honor those who have lost their battle.
