LEXINGTON, KY — On December 5, Joy Fletcher, 84, and Wanda Parker, 82, celebrated birthdays at their home at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lexington. Over slices of birthday cake, the two seniors shared their favorite traditions as they reflected on eight decades of life.

As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, the memory care community takes time to celebrate the special moments in the residents’ lives — especially the uncanny and interesting ones.
