Morning Pointe of Russell Senior Living Campus Participates in City of Russell Time Capsule Event

RUSSELL, Ky. (October 2025) — The Morning Pointe of Russell Senior Living campus will take part in a special moment of local history as the City of Russell buries its official time capsule this Saturday, the 25th, during the annual Halloweentown celebration. The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m., with the time capsule not to be opened until the year 2074.

Representing Morning Pointe will be Executive Director Dr. Holly Linn-McComas, Community Relations Director Stacey, and Resident Ambassador Bonnie Howard, who helped select the campus’s contributions to the capsule. Morning Pointe will include a copy of its Milestones magazine, one of its monthly newsletters, and, at Howard’s suggestion, a copy of the weekly dining menu—offering a glimpse of the delicious meals enjoyed by residents in 2025.

The time capsule project, sponsored by the City of Russell, invites local organizations and residents to preserve pieces of community life for future generations to discover.

“We’re honored to be part of such a meaningful event,” said Dr. Linn-McComas. “This time capsule is a way to share the story of who we are today with those who will come after us.”
