This holiday season, visions of sugar plums weren’t the only things dancing when a few young ballerinas from Twinkle Toes Ballerinas came to Morning Pointe of Powell (TN). The ballerinas, who are between three and four years old, treated the residents of the assisted living community to a dance recital and afterward, shared candy with them.
“The residents loved having them and getting to see them perform!” exclaimed Taylor Collins, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Powell, of the ballerinas. “Intergenerational activities are such a huge part of what we do here at Morning Pointe because they don’t just enrich our residents’ lives—they allow the little ones who come to visit us to learn from the seniors, too!”
