Wellington Elementary Second Graders Interview Morning Pointe Residents
The residents of Morning Pointe of Lexington (KY) made some new friends—about 125 of them, to be exact—when the second graders from nearby Wellington Elementary School visited the personal care community. The students came with their teachers and a number of parent chaperones.
“Students sat down with the residents [and asked them] a list of five questions, such as: ‘Where are you from?’, ‘What are your favorite foods?’, and ‘Do you have any hobbies?’” explains Rena Fisher, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Lexington. “Students and residents are preparing for a future […] pen pal project.”
