Young Volunteers Give Out Handmade Blankets at Morning Pointe
Thanks to the efforts of 4 young people, the residents of Morning Pointe of Lexington (KY) will be extra cozy this winter! With help from their parents, Renee Smothers (16), Bethany Ratliff (13), Kaitlyn Ramey (10), and Dylan Ramey (8) of Nicholasville, Kentucky crafted nearly 60 handmade blankets to give to the residents of the senior living community—including Jo Ramey, Kaitlyn and Dylan’s grandmother.
“[The residents] were completely surprised and full of joy,” says Rena Fisher, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Lexington.
