Amber Stansberry has been named the new executive director for Morning Pointe of Frankfort Assisted Living located at 68 C. Michael Davenport Blvd.
Stansberry oversees daily operations at the assisted living community. She works with a team of directors, nurses, nursing assistants and other support staff to provide personalized care programs for residents and support for their families. She will focus on fostering meaningful relationships and experiences for residents as well as promoting their health, independence and well-being. In addition, she will help train, mentor and grow other Morning Pointe associates in the field of senior living.
Starting her career as a medical assistant, Stansberry worked at physician’s offices for seven years before earning her bachelor’s degree in management with a healthcare concentration. She went on to earn a master’s degree in business with a healthcare concentration and started working in senior care. During the Covid pandemic, she assisted the Lexington Medical Society in helping provide front-line medical staff. Stansberry returned to senior living and now has more than six years of experience in the industry. She joined the Morning Pointe Senior Living team last summer.
“I love everything about working with seniors,” said Stansberry. “I have seen many different sides of working with them, and one thing that doesn’t change is their knowledge and the words of wisdom they give. Hearing their stories and knowing that I can make a difference and lead others to make that same difference is so fulfilling.”
Originally from Carey, Ohio, Stansberry currently lives in Lexington. She has five children, ages 21-5, and enjoys traveling, fashion and playing games with her kids.
“Amber is a wonderful and vibrant leader for Morning Pointe of Frankfort,” said Kendell Stratton, vice president of operations for Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Bluegrass Region. “Her dedication to compassionate care and her ability to connect with residents and their families, as well as the staff, is a tremendous asset to our community and our region.”
