Acts Revealed for Morning Pointe Foundation’s Sept. 10 Seniors Got Talent Show

With Morning Pointe Foundation’s 5th Annual Seniors Got Talent, Lexington showcase coming up on Sept. 10, the names of the 12 performers have been released.

The show will take place at 7 p.m. at the Lexington Opera House, located at 401 W Short St. It is produced in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living.

Performers are:

  • The Overtones – barbershop quartet
  • Chris and Donna Schepers – guitar and singing duo
  • The Beatnixs – drum line performers
  • Jerry and Kim St. Saviour – guitar and singing duo
  • Sally Kelton – harpist
  • Endre Samu – Elvis tribute artist
  • Keith Williams – singer/songwriter
  • Lexington Tap and Jazz Company – dance group
  • Mark Smith – singer and guitarist
  • Collins and Cox – musical duo
  • Gigi Hampton – violinist
  • Annette Dence – singer

Participants are all ages 60 and up. Only one act will take home the grand-prize of $1,000. Second place will receive $500, and the third-place winner will receive $250. Show attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for $1 per vote, with funds going to the Morning Pointe Foundation.

“We are about a month away from our Lexington show, and we can’t wait to see these amazing seniors shine!” said Miranda Perez, Morning Pointe Foundation Executive Director. “I can promise that the show will both entertain and inspire.”

Tickets for the Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show are available at the Lexington Opera House website or morningpointefoundation.com. They are $10 plus Ticketmaster and other fees.

More about the Show

All proceeds from votes, ticket sales and sponsorships will go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to support nursing and other college scholarships. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. It was created in 2014 to provide caregiver support programs, sponsor educational awareness events and fund scholarships to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.

Doug and Lyssa High, co-anchors at ABC 36 News in Lexington, are the emcees for this year’s show. Judges are Meaghan Richardson, local pianist and vocalist; Austin Robinson, owner and director of Edge Music Therapy; Chapel Tinius, Miss Kentucky 2024; and Jack Wollman, box office manager for Studio Players in Lexington and coordinator for advising and recruiting for the School of Nursing at Kentucky State University.
