Ticket sales are picking up for this year’s Seniors Got Talent, Lexington, variety show, produced by the Morning Pointe Foundation in partnership with Morning Pointe Senior Living.
Twelve talented senior acts will take the stage at the Lexington Opera House at 401 W Short St. on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.
Performers competing for the $1,000 grand prize include singers, dancers, guitarists, a harpist, a violin and piano duo and more, spanning the ages of 61-84. Monetary prizes have been added this year for second place ($500) and third place ($250). Show attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for $1 per vote, with funds going to the Morning Pointe Foundation.
The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by Tennessee-based senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow. Seniors Got Talent proceeds specifically go toward clinical scholarships for students at area colleges in the Bluegrass State.
Attendees can also purchase tour T-shirts at the show for $25 to support the Foundation.

What to Expect at the Show
Doug and Lyssa High, co-anchors at ABC 36 News in Lexington, are the emcees for this year’s show. Judges are Meaghan Richardson, local pianist and vocalist; Austin Robinson, owner and director of Edge Music Therapy; Chapel Tinius, Miss Kentucky 2024; and Jack Wollman, box office manager for Studio Players in Lexington and coordinator for advising and recruiting for the School of Nursing at Kentucky State University.
