TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (December 10, 2020) – Jennifer Boals, life enrichment director for Morning Pointe of Tullahoma, has received the Morning Pointe Senior Living Exceeding Expectations award for outstanding service in the Cumberland Region, covering 10 Morning Pointe communities in Middle Tennessee.
Independent Healthcare Properties (IHP) and Morning Pointe Senior Living presented its Exceeding Expectations awards at its virtual annual conference last week, recognizing the most exceptional of its associates for demonstrating leadership and excellence in providing quality senior care service. Every year, the company acknowledges top performing team members in its 35 communities in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. This year’s conference was held virtually, the first in the company’s nearly 25-year history, and was attended by over 300 associates.
Boals began her career with Morning Pointe as a resident assistant on the third shift in 2017. As other positions opened up, she stepped into a first shift role where she began to take note of all the engaging life enrichment activities going on each day with residents. When the life enrichment director position became open, Boals went for it. She landed the role and has been leading life enrichment ever since!
“When I received the call that I had won, I was really caught off-guard,” said Boals. “I had my fingers in peanut butter and birdseed, preparing for an activity! It’s an honor to win this award, and I am truly working in my dream job!”
When selecting her as an Exceeding Expectations award winner, Morning Pointe leadership cited Boals’ instrumental role in consistently creating meaningful connections with residents, leading engaging activities that help keep seniors active and improve their quality of life—especially amidst a challenging pandemic. Her advocacy for associates and residents also stands out as particularly noteworthy.
