The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Chattanooga (TN) Lantern program director Danielle Nelson, residents Mary Mahon, Judy Gray, Cathy Lawson, Barbara Stewart, Jim Beasley, Freda Winter, A.B. Coleman, Dorothea Sandin, and activities assistant Emily Vincil participate in one of the memory care community’s favorite traditions: the Buckner International Shoes for Orphan Souls shoe drive. Every August, Buckner International partners with 88.9 Moody Radio to provide shoes for children in the United States and worldwide. The Lantern’s residents, families, and associates have collected shoes and socks during the entire month of August to be given to children, along with the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
