Morning Pointe Senior Living wins 3 awards from the Kentucky Senior Living Association

On March 14, Morning Pointe Senior Living received three awards at the Kentucky Senior Living Association’s 2024 banquet in Lexington:

  • Outstanding Facilities Staff
  • Outstanding Caregiver Award
  • Leadership Award

The Outstanding Facilities Staff Award was presented to Morning Pointe of Richmond Senior Living. Led by Executive Director Cristy Winkler, the team was praised for its staff longevity and fostering a friendly and positive environment for residents.

“The love that is shared between the residents, staff and their families is overflowing,” said Cristy. “I am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing team. They strive hard every day to make each day special for our residents.”

The Outstanding Caregiver Award went to Latrice Hubbard, a certified nursing assistant at Morning Pointe of Frankfort Senior Living. She has worked at the community for more than 20 years and was praised for her exceptional service to the residents, her kindness, and her ability to connect with the residents on a personal level.

“I am truly blessed and honored to receive the Outstanding Caregiver Award,” said Latrice. “I never thought doing what I truly loved would come with great rewards. God has shined on me more ways than one.”

Finally, the Leadership Award went to Dawn Pittman, senior Lantern program director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lexington. In her role, Dawn oversees the activity program at the memory care community and strives to provide purposeful and meaningful moments throughout the day to her residents. She targets activities to their individual abilities at their different stages of dementia.

“I thank my Morning Pointe family for molding me into the leader I am today,” said Dawn. “Almost nine years at Morning Pointe, and I’m still learning and growing.”
