At Morning Pointe Senior Living communities, friendships often bloom in the most unexpected ways. Just ask BJ Tiller and Pat Eley—two assisted living residents at Morning Pointe of Tullahoma, Tennessee, whose bond began with a simple gesture and has since grown into something truly special.

From a Warm Welcome to a Place Called Home

BJ was immediately impressed with Morning Pointe during her first tour, noting how clean and welcoming the community felt. “I like that I always have people around me,” she shared.

Pat, on the other hand, was hesitant when she first arrived as a resident at the community. She said, “My daughter knew people here and knew it was a nice place. She asked me to give it a try, and on my first day, everyone was so kind and so welcoming to me that I knew I was safe and at home. I now love being here.”

A Friendship Built on Kindness, Laughter, and Daily Moments

The two met when Pat noticed BJ struggling to peddle her wheelchair down the hallway and offered to help. From that moment on, they became inseparable. Pat now brings BJ to every meal, and the duo can often be found attending activities side by side.

Their favorite part of life at Morning Pointe? “Mingling!” they agree. They also enjoy the delicious food—and the freedom that assisted living provides.

BJ and Pat’s friendship is filled with laughter and comfort. “We cut up and laugh a lot,” they said. Whether watching TV, enjoying snacks, or spending time in each other’s rooms, their bond resembles a good old-fashioned girls’ sleepover.

What began as hallway kindness has blossomed into daily companionship—proof that at Morning Pointe Senior Living, new beginnings often bring surprising opportunities for joy.
