Accepting Donations: Morning Pointe Senior Living Joins Samaritan Center for Annual Fall Food Drive

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (October 23, 2025) – Barrels have been delivered and donations are already being received at Morning Pointe Senior Living communities across the Chattanooga area as they join the Samaritan Center to launch this year’s Fall Food Drive, running October 13 through November 10, 2025.

The effort will provide both emergency food bags and ongoing support to families and individuals in need. Collection barrels are placed at all local Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care communities, as well as the Morning Pointe Senior Living Corporate Office & Morning Pointe Foundation, giving residents, families, associates, and neighbors an easy way to give back this season.

Participating locations include:

  1. Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford
  2. The Lantern at Morning Pointe Chattanooga
  3. Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove

“Our communities are honored to support the Samaritan Center in meeting urgent needs,” said Amanda Yelenick, Vice President of Life Enrichment at Morning Pointe Senior Living. “The simple act of donating a box of pasta, a jar of peanut butter, or even a few cans of soup can make a lasting difference for a neighbor facing food insecurity.”

“Morning Pointe prides itself on being a community resource,” Yelenick continued. “There is always so much happening in the cities and towns we serve, and this is just one more way we can get involved and make a difference in our local community.”

Donations will be accepted at the above Morning Pointe locations throughout the drive. For more information on how to participate, visit thesamaritancenter.net.
