3 Morning Pointe Communities in Lexington Earn Deficiency-free Health Licensure Surveys

All three Morning Pointe Senior Living communities in Lexington, Kentucky, recently achieved deficiency-free health licensure surveys for 2025.

About the Surveys

Senior health care communities must undergo unannounced state inspections yearly. The health licensure survey addresses aspects of care from proper medication to nutrition, hygiene to proper record keeping, staffing to resident and family feedback. Surveyors not only observe care but also conduct interviews. Morning Pointe of Lexington Assisted Living and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lexington (which share a campus), as well as Morning Pointe of Lexington-East Assisted Living and Memory Care all underwent this survey and passed deficiency-free.

“I am so proud of these teams for achieving these deficiency-free surveys,” said Kendell Stratton, vice president of operations for Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Bluegrass Region. “Each resident, and their family, is special to us, and our goal each day is to not only meet the requirements of the state but also to be a true caring family for the residents. We love them and their families, and we always want to provide the best for them.”

Morning Pointe of Lexington and The Lantern are located at 225 and 233 Ruccio Way, while Morning Pointe of Lexington-East is located at 150 Shoreside Drive. All three senior living communities offer licensed, clinical or care staff available 24 hours a day, as well as meals served with dietician oversight in a restaurant-style setting and with an emphasis on fresh, local produce. Residents enjoy a full life enrichment activity program, including regular outings, service projects, intergenerational programming and engaging community partnerships. Physical, occupational and speech therapy services are also available on-site.

Specialized memory care programs at The Lantern and in the memory care wing at Morning Pointe of Lexington-East include Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach® to Care, the Best Friends™ Approach and Morning Pointe’s own Meaningful Day™ – a purposeful memory care program providing structure to help residents feel safe and secure.

“For even one community to achieve these survey results is an honor, especially after the 2024 changes in senior living regulations in Kentucky,” said Rob Pollard, senior vice president of operations for Morning Pointe Senior Living. “But for all three of our communities in Lexington to reach this level of results speaks volumes about the emphasis our Morning Pointe organization and each of the local teams places on quality. We always strive to be worthy of the trust that our seniors and their families place in us.”
