Local dignitaries, student organizations, and community leaders will be represented at the Grand Opening Holiday Event for Morning Pointe of Danville (Kentucky) Assisted Living on Dec. 12.
Taking place from 4-7 p.m. at 100 Birney Place, the celebration will include a formal ribbon-cutting and public ceremony for Phase II of the Morning Pointe of Danville campus. The new community has been officially open for about a month and is continuing to welcome senior residents.
The lineup of speakers and performers includes James “J.H.” Atkins, Danville mayor; Aletha Bruzek, chair of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce; Ellen Goldey, vice president of academic affairs and the dean of the college at Centre College; the Boyle County Advanced High School Choir; and the American Legion. Following the program in a heated space outdoors, guests will be invited inside for tours, holiday music and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
“We are excited to invite so many of local governing officials and our community partners to see our beautiful new building and celebrate with us as we grow the services available to area seniors,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “We have been part of the Danville community for years and are pleased to be able to serve even more seniors and their families with this expanded campus.”
Lisa Keller, RN, executive director, added, “This will be a wonderful and festive time to share with even more of our greater community what our building is all about. We are about providing a welcoming home for seniors who are still active but need a helping hand. We are about helping these seniors thrive socially, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, in addition to having their medical and physical needs met.”
