On Thursday, Dec. 12, Morning Pointe of Danville (Kentucky) Assisted Living will host its Grand Opening Holiday Event from 4-7 p.m.

The community, located at 100 Birney Place, is Phase II of the Morning Pointe of Danville campus and offers full and comprehensive assisted living services. It officially opened this fall and is continuing to welcome new residents. It shares a campus with Phase I, which is now The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Danville

The Grand Opening Holiday Event will include music from the Boyle County Advanced High School Choir, as well as a flag ceremony and Pledge of Allegiance from the American Legion of Danville #18. Also included will be a formal ribbon-cutting, tours, holiday music and heavy hors d’oeuvres. The community is celebrating its Festival of Trees concurrently, with an array of Christmas trees decorated by community partners; guests can vote on their favorite. All festivities will be held inside due to cold weather.

Program speakers will include James “J.H.” Atkins, Danville mayor; Aletha Bruzek, chair of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce; Ellen Goldey, vice president of academic affairs and the dean of the college at Centre College; Lisa Keller, executive director at Morning Pointe of Danville Assisted Living; and Dalton Hendron, resident ambassador at the community.

“We can’t wait to officially introduce this beautiful all-assisted living community to the Danville and Boyle County area,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founder and president. “Thank you to everyone who has supported our campus – community partners and volunteers and family members alike. We are here to help seniors live their best lives, and our recent expansion will help us to better meet the needs of the seniors in the surrounding area.”
