Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Collegedale Communities Offering Easter Fun for Local Families

Morning Pointe Senior Living’s assisted living and memory care communities in Collegedale are inviting local families to their free Easter events this month.

The Events

The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, located at 9300 Messinger Lane off Apison Pike, will kick off the celebrations with its Easter Extravaganza on Friday, April 18. From 2-4 p.m., families are invited to an egg hunt with refreshments and games.

On Saturday, April 27, Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove Assisted Living, located at 9650 Leyland Drive off Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, will host a Spring Fling picnic on the lawn from 2-6 p.m. Families can pre-order a family picnic basket (serves four) with sandwiches, pasta salad, fruit salad and baked cookies. Fifteen to 20 vendors will be on-site selling crafts and representing local services, and there will also be a sweet tea and lemonade stand. Games will include:

  • Cornhole
  • Fake fishing
  • Bouncy house

“Our community is right at the end of the Collegedale Greenway, and this is a great place to have families over for a picnic and celebrate the fun of the Easter season,” said Wylie Fuller, executive director at Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove. “We can’t wait to have our greater community over for this fun afternoon!”
